Historic City News received a report from Event & Communications Director for the Cathedral Basilica, Christine McMillan announcing that The Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine will host a special program on the writings of Saint Paul the Apostle on Saturday, January 24 at 9:00 a.m.
The event will take place at the Bishop Baker Center on St. George Street next to Cathedral Parish School. (249 St. George Street)
Msgr. Steven Bosso, professor of Sacred Scripture at St. Vincent de Paul Seminary in Boynton Beach, Florida, will speak on “How to Read the Letters of Saint Paul.” Msgr. Bosso is a priest of the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee and previously served as the rector of the seminary.
The general public is invited to attend.
This special engagement is in observance of the Catholic Church’s Jubilee Year in honor of St. Paul. Pope Benedict XVI announced the Pauline Jubilee Year in observance of the 2000th birthday of the “Apostle to the Gentiles.” The Jubilee Year continues until June 29, 2009.
