Ringing in The New Year

Haven Horse Ranch, a St Augustine non-profit, 501c3 horse ranch for children, announced today that they are bringing nationally acclaimed and family friendly comedian Jeff Allen to the area for two shows this New Years Eve. “The night’s festivities are being offered as an alternative to a ‘typical’ New Year’s Eve party. If you don’t want to simply stay at home, but going out partying all night isn’t your idea of fun, then come on out an join us for a family friendly night, but be prepared, I’ve seen him, Jeff is extremely funny and entertaining!” says Board Member Janet Tillman, of Tillman State Farm Agency. “I laughed until it hurt.” The evening’s festivities will be held at Crosswater Community Church’s brand new campus in Nocatee (Ponte Vedra) at the entrance to Davis Park. Seating is limited and Tickets are now on sale for both shows, 6:00 PM for those who want to then go to dinner or to another New Years Eve event and 9:00 PM for those who want to make this their evening’s event. The St. Augustine Community Chorus presents its annual Christmas concert on December 12 and 13. This year’s program will feature the Christmas section of Handel’s “Messiah,” selections from Britten’s “Ceremony of Carols” with harp accompaniment; spirituals and a carol sing by the audience. The concert dates are December 12 at 8PM and December 13 at 2PM. The concert will be held at the Cathedral Basilica in downtown St. Augustine. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door; children 12 and under, $6.00.
