Local St. Augustine reporters at Historic City News have learned that Wednesday morning, Police Officer Frank Shipp responded to a call from Taylor Signature Painting and Waterproofing concerning a burglary discovered at their place of business.
The victim reported sometime between Friday, June 4th at about 6:00 p.m. and Wednesday, June 9th at about 10:24 a.m., an unknown subject entered the property at 42 Palmer Street through an unlocked gate and then entered an unlocked shed.
According to police reports, the burglar stole a lawn mower valued at about $200, two weed eaters valued at about $120, a wheelbarrow valued at about $50, three tool boxes said to be worth about $100, three shop vacuum cleaners worth about $200, a television valued at about $150 and a gas grill worth about $200.
The total value of the stolen items is $1,020.
Community Affairs Officer Barbara Clifford of the St. Augustine Police Department reports that the investigation is ongoing.
