Local St. Augustine reporters at Historic City News have learned that last Tuesday morning, Police Officer Michal Kettman responded to Tedi’s Ice Cream shop located at 65 St. George Street to investigate a burglary.
According to the store manager, when his employee opened Tuesday morning, she realized that the front door was unlocked.
When she went inside, the employee found the cash box open. The money that had been left inside was missing.
Police found the back window to the business broken. According to the report, about $450 had been stolen during the break in.
Community Affairs Officer Barbara Stevens of the St. Augustine Police Department reports that the investigation is ongoing.
