St. Augustine Police Officer Diane Ham responded to a residential burglary call Tuesday evening at about 7:00 p.m. according to a report received by the local St. Augustine news desk at Historic City News.
The residence, located in the 185th block of Inlet Drive, had been left unoccupied while the owners were out-of-town. When they returned, they began to notice things out of place.
The owners made a closer inspection of their home and discovered that the rear door to the residence was open.
They noticed two trays of jewelry missing from their bedroom worth an estimated $4250.00.
Community Affairs Officer Barbara Clifford of the St. Augustine Police Department reports that the investigation is ongoing.
