Middle school gun threat unfounded

Public Information Officer Debra Johnson told local St. Johns County reporters with Historic City News that deputies in Flagler County responded to Indian Trails Middle School to investigate a student gun threat.

Overnight, an Indian Trails Middle School parent was told by her son that another student planned to bring a gun to school today. Deputies investigated the tip this morning and determined that the boy’s complaint was unfounded.

“School safety and school functions were never in jeopardy and classes were uninterrupted,” Johnson said.
