St. Augustine Public Information Coordinator Cathy DuPont informed local Historic City News reporters today that the reenactment of a 16th century raid on St. Augustine by Sir Francis Drake will necessitate intermittent disruptions of traffic in parts of downtown St. Augustine.
The reenactment begins tomorrow evening, Saturday, June 5th, at the Santo Domingo Redoubt at the corner of Orange St. and Cordova St. at 7:00 p.m. then continues south on St. George Street concluding on St. George St. between Cathedral Pl. and King St. at approximately 8:00 p.m.
Minor traffic interruptions should be expected where St. George St. intersects with Orange St., Hypolita St., and Cathedral Pl. Vehicular traffic may want to avoid these areas during this time.
