Victim in Saturday night crash dies from injuries

The driver of a 1996 Ford who was taken into custody and arrested at the scene of a crash in St. Augustine Shores on Saturday night has been released on bail, however, that may change depending on the outcome of the ongoing investigation; since the other driver has died.

The 76 year old victim of Saturday’s crash, Jeanne Aramini, who resided on Deltona Boulevard, was returning home when her 1997 Buick was struck broad side by 44 year-old Christopher Deforest Jones.

Aramini succumbed to her injuries and passed away this morning. Aramini died a short time after being removed from life-support; which had been administered since the crash.

Jones, who resides at 7145 A1A South Pelican Inlet in St. Augustine, was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Flagler County. Jones license was not valid at the time of the crash. Alcohol is believed to be a factor, however, that has not yet been confirmed.

Charges from the crash that occurred at the intersection of Shores Boulevard and Deltona Boulevard in St Augustine Shores are pending the completion of the investigation.
