American flag returns to Anderson Circle
Historic City News local staff photographer, Kerry McGuire, was on the scene for a patriotic display of support and a round of spontaneous applause as St. Augustine Fire Department personnel returned the American flag to its place atop the flagpole in the center of Anderson Circle today.

At about 4:30 a.m. this morning, a marina employee called the St. Augustine Fire Department to report smoke coming from the north dock at the St. Augustine Municipal Marina according to local city officials reporting to Historic City News.
Mark Schmitt, President of Florida Living History, Inc. and the St. Augustine Spanish Garrison, asked Historic City News to convey his organization’s deep appreciation for all of the assistance that was provided at last weekend’s heritage event.
Becky Reichenberg, State Republican Committeewoman, invited all local Historic City News readers to attend the upcoming grand opening of the St. Johns County GOP Headquarters in St. Augustine next Saturday.
