St. Augustine Port and Waterway Commissioner USCG Captain Jay Bliss has invited Historic City News readers to enjoy their Labor Day, Monday September 5th, enjoying the 5th Annual “Papa Jim” Dinghy Regatta in memory of lifelong St. Augustine sailor, Jim Hartley.
The regatta and picnic will be held in Anastasia State Park this Labor Day beginning at noon with a Captain’s meeting, followed by dinghy races starting around 12:30 p.m.
All ages and all classes of boats are welcome.
All events will start and finish at Anastasia State Park at the pavilion beside Anastasia Water Sports.
“There will be an oyster roast, hot dogs on the grill and a pot luck lunch,” Bliss said. “Your potluck and cash donation to benefit SPARS Youth Sailing Programs are appreciated.”
