St Augustine Police Department Public Information Officer, Mark Samson, notified Historic City News that police are searching for a mentally handicapped student who has been missing since yesterday.
The 19 year-old girl, Crystal L. Gray, was last seen around noon yesterday at her school; located at 62 Cuna Street in downtown St. Augustine.
The girl was last seen wearing a beige spaghetti strap shirt with a flower print, beige capri pants, and gold shoes. Gray has light brown hair, hazel eyes is about 5’2″ tall and weighs about 160 lbs.
According to Samson, Gray walked away from the St. Johns Community School and has not been seen or heard from since.
The teenager should have returned home at 3:00 p.m. yesterday; but, she has not shown up or called. Although the teen has walked away from the school in the past, her family and teachers are concerned because she has always returned home.
Due to her handicap, the girl’s status is considered “endangered”. Police have notified other police agencies in the area and need your help to locate this missing St. Augustine student.
If anyone has seen or spoken with Crystal L. Gray they are asked to call the St. Augustine Police Department immediately at 904-825-1070.
