Historic City News reporters learned that State Attorney R.J. Larizza joined St. Johns County Sheriff David Shoar this afternoon to announce a new publication “Know the Law” that is being handed out in St. Johns County middle and high schools.
“This is a guide for students to understand the law and hopefully to weigh any consequences before acting,” Larizza told Historic City News.
St. Johns County School Superintendent, Dr. Joseph Joyner, and members of the PACT Prevention Coalition of St. Johns County, are supporting this initiative and want to alert parents so that they can reinforce the message to their teenagers at home.
The announcement came today at 1:00 p.m. in a news conference held at the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.
