Historic City News reporters will be watching as commissioners work through a long day of meetings; beginning with a city carriage ordinance workshop at 3:30 p.m., followed by the regularly scheduled St. Augustine City Commission meeting at 5:00 p.m.
Both meetings will be held in the Alcazar Room; on the first floor of City Hall, located at 75 King Street in St. Augustine.
Those present for the 3:30 p.m. public workshop may not be granted the opportunity to express comments directly to the commissioners, however, outspoken advocates of the horse-drawn carriages as well as animal rights advocates and others close to the issue who hold opposing points of view are likely to attend.
Those who stay for the 5:00 p.m. regular commission meeting will each have three minutes to address the commissioners during the “public comments” agenda item.
