City welcomes full time 450th staff member
City Manager John Regan introduced Historic City News reporters and those attending yesterday’s 450th Workshop to Jennifer L. Zuberer — who will serve in a newly created position of “Communication Resources Manager for the 450th Commemoration”.
Together with Heritage Tourism Director Dana Ste. Claire, Zuberer becomes the second full-time employee tasked with moving the events forward.
Zuberer, who is a University of Florida graduate, starts work today and is responsible for updating the city’s 450th website, calendar of events and meetings, coordinator for citizen ideas and, generally, the interface for communications between the public and city on matters related to the 450th commemoration.
Regan told commissioners that, of about eight well-qualified applicants for the position, Zuberer stood out among the best; she will earn an annual salary of $48,393.19, according to City Comptroller Mark Litzinger.
Zuberer and her husband, live just south of St. Augustine. She was formerly employed by Yellowstone Landscape Group in Palm Coast.
