Purchasing Director, Joe Burch, submitted a request to declare as “surplus”, county property left behind at the Willie Galimore Recreation Center after the county withdrew from maintenance of the Lincolnville facility, which is owned by the City of St. Augustine.
The St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners approved the request in today’s consent agenda, clearing the way, under Florida Statue 274, for county staff to donate a list of items to the City of St. Augustine.
Willie Galimore Recreation Center pool equipment items included in the donation will be a heat pump, pool heaters, a pool blanket and storage reel.
