The Friends of the Farmers Market reported to Historic City News that they will host an “Evening of Celebration” on Thursday, August 25th, to welcome – and seek support for – a farmers market in Lincolnville’s Eddie Vickers Field.
According to an announcement that appeared in the City’s community publication, The St. Augustine Report, hors d’oeuvres, live music, and details of what the friends hope will be a thriving Sunday market will be offered.
Donations are requested as the market launch date of October 2nd approaches.
The celebration is 6-8 p.m. at Global Wrap, Riberia Street at Kings Ferry Way.
Former Mayor George Gardner wrote, “The market will have an ideal location, adjacent to the Lincolnville Community Garden, a highly successful citizen initiative.”
