Flagler College announced to local Historic City News reporters that they have appointed Alecia Manning, ’05, as their new assistant director of the Annual Fund.
Manning has coordinated fundraising activities for Communities in Schools and AmeriCorps VISTA for the last three years. She also spent many years as a coach for North Florida Gymnastics.
Mark Whittaker, vice president of Institutional Advancement at Flagler College, said that Manning’s appointment represents an important addition to the Institutional Advancement staff at Flagler.
“She brings substantial fundraising experience and knowledge of the college to the Annual Fund program,” Whittaker said. “This experience is essential because these funds enable us to strengthen our educational programs and support services.”
In addition, she worked for four years as a supervisor for the Jacksonville Jaguars, where she worked with employees in the East Club to ensure fan satisfaction.
“Alecia’s experience with the Jacksonville Jaguars and North Florida Gymnastics will also help us with athletic fundraising,” Whittaker added. “We are delighted to welcome her back home to Flagler.”
Manning has a B.A. in sports management and a minor in business administration from Flagler College.
