Tuesday, October 4 @ 3:30 pm – Looking for somewhere to hang out with your friends, play a game, paint, do a craft or use a computer? Come to Teen Lounge for Wii, Playstation, snacks and much more!!

Snack ‘n Yak
Friday, October 7 @ 10 am – Join us before storytime for some coffee, juice, snacks and chit-chat. Toys are available for your little ones and computers are available for adult use.

Family Storytime
Friday, October 7 @ 10:30 am – Join us for an interactive learning experience for your children featuring music, stories, puppets and a craft.

Stay ‘n Play
Friday, October 7 @ 11 am – No need to rush out after storytime. Stay and relax while your child enjoys a structured play session under the supervision of library staff. Refreshments and computers are available.

Teen Book Club
Saturday, October 8 @ 10 am – This month’s selection is Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. In this second installment of the Hunger Games, series Katniss and Peter have made it home victorious, but now must cope with being the faces of a new rebellion and, perhaps, enemies of the Capitol. Join us for refreshments and discussion.

Music & Movement for Little Ones
Tuesday, October 11 @ 10 am – Almost all kids love music and movement, but did you know that participation in related activities helps brain development? Toddlers, Preschoolers and their caregivers are invited to join us for this active, musical program.

El Dia de los Muertos Paper Craft
Saturday, October 15 @ 1 pm – Based on an Aztec celebration and the holidays of All Souls’ Day and All Saints Day, El Dia de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead) is a fun and happy holiday celebrated in Mexico and many other countries throughout the Americas. Learn about this celebration, and join us in making beautiful, bright whimsical paper crafts. This program is aimed at elementary aged children.

Teen Craft: “Papier Maché Jack-O-Lanterns”
Saturday, October 22 @ 1 pm – Make your own papier maché pumpkin. It won’t rot, and you can use it next year too! This activity will involve creating the pumpkin shape and then setting it aside to dry. You may drop by Teen Lounge the following week to paint your project. Diode lights will be provided.
