Hours of operation at Pet Center to change

Lieutenant Jeremy Robshaw, Public Information Officer for St. Johns County, informed Historic City News reporters that, beginning October 1, 2011, the Pet Center will be adjusting the hours of operation in order to maximize staff efficiency and reduce personnel costs.

With this change in operation, the Pet Center will provide an additional 30 hours of operations to the public.

The facility will be open to the public Monday– Friday each week and an additional six hours on the last Saturday of each month.

Current hours of operation:

9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday
Closed on Sundays

New hours of operation:

8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. the last Saturday of each month as a special adoption day
Closed the remaining Saturdays and Sundays
