Historic City News and the City of St. Augustine want to encourage all residents and property owners along Marine Street, and others in the neighborhood, to attend a public meeting to answer questions regarding future curbside parking restrictions and sidewalk improvements.
Representatives of the City of St. Augustine, Department of Public Works, will be on hand to answer questions after a brief presentation.
This public meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 29th, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Alcazar Room; on the first floor of City Hall, located at 75 King Street in St. Augustine. The purpose will be to allow interested residents an opportunity to participate and provide comments at the initial stage of the proposed project.
According to city officials, curbside restrictions are proposed for both sides of Marine Street — beginning approximately 100 feet north of Tremerton Place and ending at Hendricks Street.
Proposed sidewalk improvements will provide a continuous, ADA compliant sidewalk along the east side of Marine Street. In order to construct the sidewalk, however, landscaping within the right-of-way will have to be removed.
