Historic City News has learned that northeast Florida’s newest brewery opened today with a “soft” grand opening that started at 4:00 p.m. in their taproom located at 3420 Agricultural Center Drive in St. Augustine.
After today, Mike Fierro, one of the owners, said they plan to be open noon to midnight, Tuesday-Sunday.
Mile Marker brews beer for its own taproom and for local distribution, which is being provided by Burkhardt Sales and Service.
Although bottles probably will not show up in stores until next year, Fierro says Mile Marker Brewing products should start showing up on draft in St. Augustine bars next week.
Tonight, they will offer three beers on tap; a Kolsch, a red and an IPA, priced at $3.50-$4.00 a pint.
State law does not allow a taproom to serve food — but Fierro said he is negotiating with mobile vendors to set up in the parking lot.
