Anastasia Island Movie Club
Tuesday, August 2 @ 5:30 pm – Come see a classic tale of dance, art, and obsession from 1948. A prima ballerina is torn between the love of a composer and the ruthless determination of choreographer, jealous of the love between the two young people. Special Storytime with Froggy
Wednesday, August 3 @ 10:30 am – Come in for a special storytime to listen to some of our favorite Froggy stories, sing some songs, and even meet Froggy! Don’t forget your cameras! This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Kids Summer Reading Program: “World Crafts & Icees!”
Wednesday, August 3 @ 2:30 pm – Join us to create some great crafts inspired by countries and cultures around the world. Afterward, down with a refreshing icee as a wrap-up to our 2011 Summer Reading Programs! This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Fun with Flowers for Kids
Saturday, August 6 @ 2 & 3 pm – All children age 5-12 are invited to register for this fun make-and-take workshop presented by The Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants! Become nature detectives, learn about gardening, flower arranging, and decorate your own pots! These workshops are sponsored by The Friends of the Library and the Garden Club of St. Augustine. Baby / Toddler Storytime: Wednesday, August 3 @ 10:15 am
Baby & Toddler storytimes are aimed at children up to 18 months.

Preschool Storytime: Wednesday, August 3 @ 11 am – Preschool storytimes are open to any child who can sit for stories, songs and a simple craft. Come for songs, stories, and fun.

Tween and Teen Gaming Day
Wednesday, August 10 @ 2 pm – It’s hot and you are bored, so bring your friends and come to the library to get your game on! We’ll have a surprise and also games on both X-Box and Wii chosen by our own tweens and teens!

Anastasia Island Book Club
Thursday, August 11 @ 7 pm -This month’s book will be The Good Daughters by Joyce Maynard. All are welcome to come and join a lively discussion.

Family Movie Event: “The Story of Bethany Hamilton”

Kids LEGO Brick Club
Wednesday, August 17 @ 3:30 pm – It’s hot out and you need something to do… Come into the library to play with over 50 pounds of LEGO bricks and pieces! We supply the LEGO bricks and fun… All you need to bring is your imagination.

Friday, August 19 @ 2:30 pm – (PG-13) An action thriller centered on a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown man and discovers he’s part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train but only has 8 minutes to stop the tragedy. Little Tykes Movie Event with Bob the Builder
Friday, August 26 @ 10:15 am – Grab your shovels and join the fun as Bob the Builder and his terrific team dig up ancient surprises in this all-new movie.
