St. Augustine Visitors and Convention Bureau Communications Director Jay Humphreys informed St. Johns County entertainment reporters at Historic City News that among the many entertainment choices in store for this weekend, over 100 classic, custom and antique automobiles will participate in 2011 Ponte Vedra Beach Car Show.

DON AUSMAN 5K RUN
Head over to Pier Park in St. Augustine Beach for this fundraising event for the Don Ausman Foundation, an organization devoted to funding an Alternative Spring Break for college students who want to spend their spring break helping the world’s less fortunate. The event begins on Friday with a huge DISCO Party at the Pier from 5-9 p.m. Signup for the race begins at 7 a.m. on Saturday morning and the 5K begins at 8:30 a.m. Lots of fun throughout the day, including a standup paddle board race in the ocean and a Best Burger Competition. 2011 PONTE VEDRA BEACH CAR SHOW
See over 100 classic, custom and antique automobiles as they compete for trophies at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach. There will be plenty of food, lively music and vintage autos on display from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Judges will determine the winners in categories ranging from ‘Best in Show’ to ‘Peoples’ Choice Award’. All entries are welcome, however only pre-1991 cars are eligible for judging. Admission is free. TPC Sawgrass is located at 110 Championshop Way, Ponte Vedra Beach.
