Historic City News received word from St Johns County Sheriff’s representative Chuck Mulligan that when deputies executed a search warrant on Wynfield Circle shortly before 9:00 a.m. this morning, they encountered an active “cook” operation that was manufacturing Methamphetamine.
Detectives began the undercover investigation into the residence approximately two weeks ago when they learned that it was being used as a marijuana “grow house”.
Members of the Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement Team and SWAT found several occupants inside the house; however, according to Mulligan, no arrests have been made at this time.
“Right now, everything is secure and we are focusing on a detailed search and cleanup operation of the property,” Mulligan told Historic City News. “I have no specific information on the scope of the lab or grow information at the moment.”
St Johns County Fire Rescue responded to the site to provide precautionary fire measures as well as decontamination assistance for the personnel entering the residence.
