Animal Control and Pet Center hours extended

Paul Studivant reported an improvement to the hours of operation at the St Johns County Animal Control and Pet Center beginning September 1, 2012.

Studivant told Historic City News that these changes would improve the hours available for adoptions and the response times needed to answer complaints or concerns made by the citizens of St. Johns County.

Pet Center:
Sunday: Closed
Monday: Closed to the public, no drop offs
Tuesday thru Saturday: Open 9:00am – 4:30pm

Saturday and Sunday: Available 9:00am – 5:30pm

The St Johns County Fire-Rescue 911 Communications Center is the contact point for after-hours dog and cat EMERGENCIES; please do not contact them directly for routine animal complaints.

In preparation of the new hours, the St. Johns County Animal Control and Pet Center will be closed to the public on August 24, 2012 for a staff meeting and additional training.
