Arrest in fraudulent mobile pet clinic operation

Public Information Officer Klare Ly reported to Historic City News that a Putnam County woman was arrested this morning after months of investigation into financial and legal documents that State Attorney R.J. Larizza says proves that she was involved in fraud, and identity theft.

Larizza told reporters that he was requested by St Johns County Sheriff’s detectives to assist with their investigation of the complex, identity theft case; which culminated in issuance, and today’s execution, of arrest warrants against Judy Grace Tabor.

Tabor operated “Pet Care-a-Van” and “Pet Caravan” in St. Johns and Putnam Counties; a business that the State Attorney’s Office says was a fraudulently licensed mobile pet clinic.

Investigators from the State Attorney’s Office of the 7th Judicial Circuit, along with a detective from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Tabor at her Putnam County residence at approximately 9:15 a.m. without incident.

Under St Johns County warrants, Tabor was arrested on eleven felony charges, including multiple counts of fraudulent use of personal information, driver’s license fraud and motor vehicle title fraud. The required bond amount is approximately $550,000.

Under Putnam County warrants, Tabor was arrested on five felony charges, including first-degree felonies involving fraudulent use of personal information and mortgage fraud. The required bond is approximately $325,000.

Total bond accumulated for Tabor’s release is approximately $875,000.

The case is still an active ongoing investigation and additional charges may be possible.

The arraignment date is set by the clerk, upon filing of the formal charges.

The filing of a criminal charge is merely an accusation. The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
