St Johns County Sheriff’s Office Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw reported to local Historic City News reporters that four men have been arrested in connection with several shootings that occurred last month in West Augustine.
The four suspects were identified as Denzel Daquan Gadson, 19, and Trennod Gerail Gadson, 21, both of 140 Collier St.; Kenneth William Floyd Jr., 22, 917 Oak Arbor Cr., and Everett Davon Thompson, 31, Jacksonville.
Thompson and Denzel Gadson were each charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Floyd was charged with discharging a firearm from a vehicle and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Trennod Gadson was charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle.
The three local suspects were booked into the St Johns County Detention Facility and are being held on bonds of $250,000 on each charge. Thompson was arrested on other charges in Dekalb County, Georgia, by the US Marshal Service.
Robbery-Homicide Detectives began the investigation on October 16th after several individuals were involved in an escalating series of events that led to at least two incidents of gunfire near West King Street. The investigation led to the arrest warrants against the four named individuals and additional suspects could be sought and charged as the investigation continues.
