District 23 Medical Examiner, Dr. Predag Bulic announced to Historic City News reporters and law enforcement agencies his preliminary findings in the death of three family members discovered by deputies inside their home yesterday afternoon.
After a postmortem examination this morning, Bulic says that the son, 51-year-old Gregory Scott Testa, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The manner of death has been ruled suicide.
The manners of death for each of the parents, 87-year-old Joyce E Testa and 90-year-old Raymond Testa, have been ruled a homicide, with the cause of death in each case being gunshot wounds.
According to St Johns County Sheriff’s Corporal Catherine Payne, there is no known motive for this incident at this time; however, the investigation is ongoing.
