Historic City News readers are invited to celebrate 125 years of the Hotel Ponce de Leon while they ring in the New Year during the New Year’s Eve Scholarship Ball, hosted by the President’s Society of Flagler College.
Limited seating for this black-tie evening of historic elegance is $200 per person.
Set in the former Ponce de Leon Hotel’s Dining Hall, located at 74 King Street in St Augustine, the Scholarship Ball will give revelers the chance to mingle amid the same opulent Tiffany glass windows and magnificent murals that once entertained the likes of former president Teddy Roosevelt, Will Rogers, John D Rockefeller and Henry Flagler himself.
The ball begins at 8:00 p.m. December 31 and concludes at 1:00 a.m. Patrons can enjoy cocktails, delectable hors d’oeuvres and dessert bites and an open bar throughout the night culminating in a champagne toast at midnight.
Seating is limited. Call (904) 819-6282 today for an invitation or reservation. Flagler era attire or black tie is required. Thirty percent of the cost is a tax-deductible donation benefiting the Flagler College Scholarship Fund; helping to offset tuition costs for many students with financial need.
