Construction deliveries will interrupt traffic
Florida Department of Transportation spokesperson, Laurie Sanderson, announced to local Historic City News reporters that St Johns County drivers should use extra caution when traveling on US-1 South Wednesday as the department will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving.
Between 9:00 a.m. and noon Wednesday, the Department of Transportation will be making deliveries of steel at the St Johns County Public Services Tower site, located approximately one and a half miles north of the US-1 and I-95 interchange.
All southbound lanes of US-1 will be closed periodically for a few minutes at a time.
St Johns County Public Service Assistants will be onsite to direct traffic, Sanderson said.
