Park Service Specialist Terri Newmans reminds Historic City News readers in St Augustine that there are only 12 more days until the third annual Battle of Bloody Mose Anniversary Commemoration.
Battle times are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 23; the park is open from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
The Battle of Bloody Mose Anniversary Commemoration is a presentation of Fort Mose Historic State Park, Fort Mose Historical Society, Florida Living History, Inc. and Who’s Knockin Entertainment.
Admission to the event is free. Due to limited space, additional free parking is being made available at the Old Jail Museum on San Marco Avenue; with complimentary shuttle service by Old Town Trolley Tours. Museum Admission is $2.00 per person with children under 6-years-old admitted free.
The day will be full of fun, entertainment and education — including battle re-enactments, military demonstrations, a theater presentation, cooking demonstrations, children’s activities and food.
Fort Mose Historic State Park is located at 15 Fort Mose Trail in St Augustine. For additional information, contact the park by calling (904) 823-2232.
