A 43 year-old man who has been living with his uncle in Ponte Vedra Beach during the past three years has been missing since last Monday afternoon, June 4, according to a report received by Historic City News from Sheriff’s Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw this afternoon.
The missing man, James Alexander Harrell, was last seen by another relative at the Ponte Vedra Beach Library and was reported missing by his uncle on last Thursday.
Harrell is described as a black male, 6’2” tall, 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
The family told law enforcement authorities that Harrell does not have any diagnosed mental conditions and is not taking any prescribed medications. Although there is no evidence of foul play, his whereabouts are unknown; relatives stated that it is “not normal” for Harrell to be missing for this long without making contact.
Anyone who may have encountered this man since last Monday evening, or who may have seen him recently should contact Detective Thomas Marmo at the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office at (904) 209-2191.
