Family of three found dead in Coronado
Several days after 51-year-old Gregory Scott Testa did not call-in or show up for work, public information officer Catherine Payne told Historic City News that his employer became suspicious and notified the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office that they had reasonable concern for his welfare.
The call came in at 12:25 p.m. this afternoon, Payne told reporters. Deputies responded to the Testa residence at 452 Gianna Way in Saint Augustine’s Coronado neighborhood; off Wildwood Drive.
Upon entry, the officers found three victims; Gregory Testa and his parents, 87-year-old Joyce E Testa and 90-year-old Raymond Testa. All three apparently died from gunshot wounds; a suspected double murder-suicide.
The remains have been turned over to District 23 Medical Examiner, Dr. Predag Bulic. The manner of death is homicide; Bulic will conduct a further examination to establish the cause of death. The investigation is continuing.
