In preparation for the 125th anniversary of the Hotel Ponce de Leon, Flagler College is asking Historic City News readers for help in finding original items and artifacts from the hotel to be displayed on the opening day of the college’s celebration on January 12, 2013.
At 9:30 a.m. on January 12, trumpeters will announce the arrival of guests to the Ponce’s anniversary celebration as the gates open and the orchestra plays “The Star Spangled Banner”.
Visitors can mingle with guests and hotel staff, take tours and perhaps say hello to Mr. and Mrs. Flagler as they dine in the Hotel’s grand dining room, the Ponce de Leon Hall. The event will continue until 2:30 p.m.
If you have an original piece from the Ponce and would like it to be displayed, please contact Laura Stevenson Dumas, Director of College Relations, at 904-819-6205 or LStevenson@flagler.edu.
