Historic City News reporters in St Augustine have learned from witnesses that a female driver rolled her car over three times Wednesday night; before coming to rest on the north shoulder of Anastasia Boulevard at the parking lot of Nobby’s Sports Tavern.
St Augustine Police spokesman Mark Samson told reporters that just before 11:00 p.m. on July 4, that a 2011 Honda Fit, driven by 53 year-old Theresa Diane Long, who resides at 162 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue in St Augustine, crashed her vehicle at Gerado Street and Anastasia Boulevard.
Long was transported to by St Johns County Fire Rescue to Flagler Hospital for medical treatment of the injuries she sustained in the crash.
In order to determine the blood-alcohol level of the driver, paramedics at the scene drew a sample of Long’s blood. Toxicology tests on the sample should be available soon.
Investigation thus far by Officer Chris Miller has revealed that Long has five previous DUI convictions and has attended 4 DUI schools.
Charges in the crash are pending the outcome of the blood tests.
