Detective David Garns has asked Historic City News readers for help identifying a man that attempted to commit robbery at the Kangaroo convenience store located in the 400 block of SR-16 early this morning.
Shortly before 5:00 a.m. this morning, the 38-year-old clerk on duty reported that a man entered the store, approached the counter, and then demanded money. Video surveillance cameras captured photographs of the man with a shirt over his face.
The clerk did not see a weapon; however, the robber implied that he was armed, according to the police report.
Robbery-Homicide detectives are searching for the 5’9″ tall white man, short brown hair, average build, who was wearing a long sleeve flannel plaid shirt, dark blue shorts and black sneakers.
The man fled the store without any money or merchandise. He was last seen running on Schallers Road.
