Deadly car-vs-pedestrian crash in parking lot

One victim has been confirmed dead in the parking lot of the Bank of America branch located at 4305 US-1 South, according to a report received this evening by Historic City News.

At about 5:15 p.m. today the St Johns Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene when a woman, driving in the parking lot, reportedly hit two pedestrians.

The second pedestrian was transported by St Johns County Fire Rescue to Flagler Hospital with what were described as “non-life threatening injuries”. The condition of the second victim is unknown at this time.

Detectives have detained and are questioning the driver of the vehicle to determine the cause of the incident; described by Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kevin Kelshaw, as “suspicious”.
