Laurie Sanderson reported the following St. Augustine and St. Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
State Road 13: Possible daytime and nighttime lane closures at the Cunningham Creek Bridge as crews make repairs to the roadway due to settlement. Southbound lane closures are not allowed Monday through Thursday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Monday. Northbound lane closures are not allowed Tuesday through Friday from 5:30 to 9:30 a.m. and from 7:30 p.m. Friday to 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Also, the speed limit is reduced for an intersection improvement just north of Riverwalk Boulevard while a roundabout is constructed. State Road 206: Daytime lane closures on Friday, January 11 after 7:30 a.m. for the placement of temporary pavement markings as part of the project to repair the mechanical and electrical components of the drawbridge
State Road 312: Nighttime lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. while crews work on the concrete surface of the bridge. Pedestrians are advised to avoid the eastbound bridge.
State Road A1A: Daytime lane closures after 8:30 a.m. between Mickler Road and Fairfield Boulevard while crews begin preparations for the resurfacing project. Also, daytime northbound lane closures between Corona and Solana roads from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for construction of a new sidewalk.
Also, daytime lane closures while crews repaint the roadway markings from the Flagler County line to Avenida Menendez.
US 1: Nighttime lane closures Monday beginning at 7:30 p.m. for crews to perform pipe inspection at the San Sebastian River Bridge. Other nighttime lane closures can be expected from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Saragossa Street to King Street for the bridge replacement project.
Also, the intersections of Carrera and Malaga streets are closed for reconstruction. Both streets are accessible from King or Riberia streets.
