Flagler College announced to Historic City News that Deputy Consul General of Spain, Javier Pagalday, and about 50 Fulbright scholars from around the world, will attend the combined Florida Chapters of the J. William Fulbright Association for an on-campus meeting next month.
The Fulbright Program is an international exchange program supported by the people of the United States and partner countries around the world. The program offers teaching, research or combination awards in over 125 countries for college graduates, faculty and professionals.
Historic City News readers are welcome to attend the open 9:00 a.m. session being held in the Flagler Room on April 6th. All participants will learn more about what the Fulbright Program offers. Association member attending are currently teaching and researching in Florida and Flagler College faculty, students and staff are expected to benefit from this cultural enrichment event.
The Fulbright Association members, including current and former US Fulbright scholarship recipients and foreign guests, will participate in the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the landing of the Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de Leon during commemoration activities being held from April 5th through April 7th.
