Historic City News has learned that St Johns County emergency services personnel were on the scene of a chemical spill for approximately 6 hours today; attempting to mitigate the leak from a tractor-trailer that crashed while traveling south along I-95.
Special Operations team members from St Johns County Fire Rescue were assisted by members of the St Johns County Sheriff’s Special Hazard Operations Team at the scene of the spill.
The crash occurred at the I-95 and CR-210 interchange according to the incident report.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating the cause of the crash.
