Kitchen fire erupts in King and Bear residence

St Johns County Fire Rescue crews are currently on the scene of a residential structure fire in the 4900 block of Boat Landing Drive, in King and Bear, according to an announcement received by Historic City News tonight.

Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke showing from the residence. The approximately 3,000 s.f. house was already evacuated.

Crews made entry and found a working kitchen fire, which was quickly extinguished. There was moderate fire damage to the kitchen and smoke damage throughout the house.

Several pets had been removed by citizens. There were no injuries reported to firefighters or the public. All pets were safely evacuated.
