Lady Dragons basketball team recognized

Athletics at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind are on a hot streak, according to a report received by Historic City News today.

During today’s deaf high school student lunch hour, FSDB President Dr. Jeanne Glidden Prickett announced that the FSDB Lady Dragons basketball team received the 2013 Team of the Year recognition by DeafDigest Sports.

“We are extremely proud of our Lady Dragons’ team success and we congratulate them on their achievement on behalf of FSDB,” Dr. Prickett said. “We also want to recognize Lady Dragons Coach Jessica Smirl and Assistant Coach Allen Weaver for their supportive efforts.”

Sue Hill, Director of FSDB Athletics said, “This is an exciting time for our Athletics program and our Lady Dragons basketball team. We are very proud of our girls and coaching staff.”
