Communications Specialist Danielle Berke invited Historic City News readers to apply for two open positions on the St Johns County Housing Finance Authority; open now through the application submission deadline, Monday, August 5.
The Housing Finance Authority is charged with increasing the supply of affordable housing opportunities through both tax-exempt and taxable bonds as well as other available program resources.
“We are seeking members who are knowledgeable in the fields of commerce, labor, and finance,” according to Melissa Lundquist. “Please contact 904.209.0300 for more information or to obtain an application.”
Volunteer members of the Authority are selected by the Board of County Commissioners, are required to be registered voters in St Johns County, and must file a financial disclosure, if selected.
The Housing Finance Authority meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at 3:00 p.m. in the Health and Human Services Building located at 1955 US-1 South in St Augustine. Members are required to attend additional weekly meetings during the administration and implementation of the Community Workforce Housing Innovation Pilot Program.
