Historic City News readers looking for a last minute Christmas gift might consider a St Johns County annual beach pass while they are on sale from all locations of the Tax Collector’s office.
Beach passes are required to drive on St Johns County beaches during the 2015 season; March 1 through September 30.
“All fees increase by $10.00 on March 2, 2015,” said Dennis W. Hollingsworth, C.F.C. “At that time, passes will only be available for purchase at the beach accesses.”
- St. Johns County residents can purchase passes at the preseason rate of $30.00, otherwise, the cost is $40.00 for non-residents.
- Passes for disabled persons, regardless of residency, are available for $20.00.
- There is no fee for 100% disabled military veterans.
Customers will be asked to provide proof of residency (i.e. driver license) or disabled status to receive the passes at the specified rates.
The office of the St Johns County Tax Collector will be open until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 24th. All offices will be closed Thursday, December 25th and Friday, December 26th for the Christmas holiday.
December Saturday hours, which are at our Main Office only, will be Saturday, December 20th, 8:30 a.m. till 12:00 noon. The office will also be closed Saturday, December 27th.
Transactions NOT allowed during Saturday hours include: road tests, non-U.S. and Hazardous Materials driver licenses. Anyone wanting to take the computer test to obtain their learner permit must be in no later than 11:15 a.m. during Saturday hours.
All office locations will be open for business regular hours on Wednesday, December 31st, and will be closed January 1st in celebration of the New Year.
