FDOT road repairs and maintenance report

FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATIONLaurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.

Note: Some construction projects and all maintenance projects are suspended on Monday, January 19 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. FDOT offices are closed Monday.

Downtown St. Augustine

Daytime lane closures and traffic delays from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday on San Marco Avenue from Sebastian Avenue to Cuna Street and on Cathedral Place at the intersection with St. George Street for the March for Life.

Daytime traffic delays from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Monday on M.L. King Avenue from the St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church near De Haven Street to King Street and on King Street from M.L. King Avenue to the Plaza for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. March.

Philips Highway from Race Track Road to Old St. Augustine Road

Nighttime lane closures from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Monday and Tuesday for construction related to the SR-9B project.

San Marco Avenue

Daytime lane closures from US-1 to SR-16 for painting roadway markings.

SR-312

Daytime eastbound lane closures from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and nighttime eastbound lane closures from 6:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Thursday over the Mickler O’Connell Bridge for concrete repairs.

Also, daytime eastbound lane closures from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday over the Mickler O’Connell Bridge for routine bridge maintenance.

Daytime northbound lane closures from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday from SR-206 to Datil Pepper Road for drainage repairs.
