Another Rick Scott appointee announced Wednesday

On Wednesday, June 8th, Florida Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Mark Miner to the St Augustine – St Johns County Airport Authority.

The 33-year-old Miner, is a financial advisor for Edward Jones Investments and lives in St Augustine.

He is appointed to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Robert Cox, for a term beginning June 8, 2016, and ending January 2, 2019.

He currently serves as a helicopter pilot in the Florida National Guard and previously served on the St Johns County Board of County Commissioners.

Miner received his bachelor’s degree from the Florida Institute of Technology.

This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
