Murder-Suicide under investigation

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office alerted Historic City News that their deputies are currently at a home in northern Palm Coast where an apparent murder-suicide has occurred.

A couple was found dead in their home around 4:41 p.m. by neighbors who called deputies to the scene. Both suffered gunshot wounds and a shotgun was recovered at the scene. Deputies are attempting to determine when the incident occurred.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has been called in to process the scene and the Medical Examiner’s Office has been notified.

Identification is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
