Historic City News local St. Augustine and St. Johns County news desk has learned that guests of tomorrow’s Gator Bowl game will get a little something extra this weekend in exchange for their ticket stubs.
Florida State University Seminoles will take on the West Virginia University Mountaineers tomorrow in the Konica Minolta Gator Bowl before a sold-out crowd.
The game starts at 1:00 p.m. on January 1, 2010. The stadium gates will open up at 11:00 a.m.
But, after the game, the TPC Sawgrass will offer a $50 discount off a round of golf at one of its courses for fans who bring in their Gator Bowl ticket stubs.
TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach is offering the discount off a full-price round of golf during the weekend of January 2nd and 3rd. The discount is for the Dye’s Valley Course and the regular rate is $160.
The round can also include a “storytelling forecaddie” — volunteers who offer guided tours of the clubhouse and the history of The Players Championship and TPC Sawgrass.
