Historic City News has learned that Panache will combine their downtown salon and spa with their expanded location at 1089 A1A Beach Boulevard at St. Augustine Beach in the Anastasia Plaza shopping center.
According to the owner, Kristy Weeks, the opportunity to sell the Hypolita Street building to Scarlett O’Hara’s, will support the growth of the beauty business at the beach location. Weeks expanded the Panache store at the beach from 1,200 square feet to 2,400 square feet in May 2008 to grow the location and to better serve customers throughout the market.
“We are fortunate to be able to move all of our downtown operations and services to our location at the beach where we have additional customer areas, service and retail space. Our stylists and spa professionals from the downtown store will relocate to the beach beginning in February. Plus, our customers will benefit from free and ample parking,” Weeks said.
“Our original location at 66 Hypolita Street in historic, downtown St. Augustine has been in business for more than 22 years. We are sad to leave, but we’re very thankful to our customers and visitors for our hard-earned success,” said Weeks. “We take our careers very seriously and serve from the heart at Panache,” she said.
Weeks attributes the success of her Aveda Lifestyle Store, Salon and Spa, to her staff of highly-trained beauty and salon experts who regularly participate in a wide variety of industry style events and business courses including specialized training at Aveda’s salon operations facility in Orlando, St. Petersburg, and Tallahassee, Fla. Panache staff members study topics ranging from the top industry benchmarks to working with different generations in the workplace to client retention to network promoters, and more.
Panache Salon and Spa offers the most current technologies in hair and nail services along with spa and treatment rooms and guest comfort areas. The beach location’s décor features the latest in interior design and colors as provided by Etopa, an industry leader in salon and spa environments. “We will continue to offer a full line of Aveda hair, skin and cosmetic products with a focus on maintaining an environmentally sustainable and green business,” Weeks said.
Panache receives top recognition from its customers and has received several industry awards. Panache was again named as one of the 200 fastest-growing salons in North America by Salon Today magazine. Weeks is recognized as a leader in the business community and one of the most innovative salon industry professionals in Northeast Florida.
