The St Johns County crime desk at Historic City News in St Augustine was notified that the Bank of America located at 4850 Belle Terre Parkway in Palm Coast was robbed this morning and Sheriff Don Fleming is asking if you can help identify the robber.
At 11:17 a.m. this morning, a fair-skinned white man in his mid 30’s, described as standing about six-feet tall, with short, light brown hair and goatee, entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded money. Details were not released and it is not known if the robber had a weapon.
Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies are currently working the bank robbery and processing the crime scene in search of evidence that may expose the identity of the criminal responsible.
“Thankfully no one was injured,” Sheriff Fleming told reporters. “Robbery is a crime that can turn violent, even deadly, very quickly.”
The man who committed this robbery was last seen wearing a navy baseball cap with a sandwich-brim, white t-shirt with a black imprinted left-chest logo, black wrap-around sunglasses and khaki shorts. It is believed that he fled the scene on foot and it is unknown how much, if any, cash was stolen in the robbery.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (386) 313-4911.
